ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD
1797 Pitkin Avenue once housed an enormous yet abandoned 3-story building, a wasted eyesore in the otherwise lively neighborhood of Brownsville, Brooklyn.
CHALLENGE AND APPROACH
Despite being located in a struggling section of town, the property has the advantage of an incredible corner lot centrally situated on a busy street where commercial and residential buildings mingle. However, the rundown exterior and condemned interior structure required a complete overhaul. In preparation for the move-in of a high-tech medical clinic, Promont is effectively reviving the Brownsville neighborhood with this massive 3-story space. With safe, sound structures and the implementation of ultramodern medical amenities, the facility will enable much-needed medical services for local families.
